This lecture explores methods to weave different knowledge systems, such as scientific knowledge and indigenous and local ecological knowledge, into community monitoring of natural resources. Meaningful involvement of indigenous and rural peoples in fragile contexts, use of Information and Communication Technology and data quality is discussed.
