The webinar will highlight the increasing trend in recorded conflicts where water was used as a trigger and as a casualty over the past decade. A key focus will be on the armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which led to the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam on the Dnipro River on 6 June 2023. Through this webinar, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the vulnerabilities of water resources and infrastructure in armed conflicts and the importance of protecting these vital assets to ensure sustainable development and societal well-being.
