GROMADA Summer School from 24 Aug – 1 Sept in Hamburg – Apply now!
The war in Ukraine and related military operations are also affecting forests, rivers and the soil. GROMADA, under the auspices of University of Hamburg, is hosting an international and interdisciplinary summer school on “Civic Participation in Environmental Recovery during and after the War in Ukraine”. People with an interest in citizen science, environmental protection and environmental laws, including university students, PhD, postdocs, and members of NGOs, can apply by 30 April 2024.
In ten interdisciplinary courses, you will learn all about the legal protection of the environment during and after armed conflicts, such as the one in Ukraine, and the documentation of environmental damage. At the end of the Summer School, participants will take part in a simulated court case (also known as a moot court) between Ukraine and Russia at the International Court of Justice. The summer school is supported by Greenpeace, the German Red Cross, the Ukrainian Red Cross and ELSA Hamburg e.V.
You want to be part of it? The application deadline is April 30. You can find more information about the GROMADA Summer School at https://gromada-erasmus.eu/summer-school/
